Packaging End of Life

Image of assorted RepYourWater packaging materials laid out

We have created this guide not just for transparency on our packaging types but also to help you, our customer, know how to discard of it in the most sustainable way.

In order to keep our products in new condition before they reach you, we must protect them with packaging. When a product's quality is not affected by not being in a poly or glassine bag, we have removed that entirely.

If you have questions on how to recycle or if you can recycle a piece of our packaging, please reach out to us at customerservice@repyourwater.com or 303-717-0267.

Plastic Film Recycling:

Plastic bags and plastic "film" (thin plastics) cannot be recycled in regular recycling where bottles and the like are recycled. They must go in a specialty recycling center. Most major grocery stores have large bins in front to accept plastic bags and you can take ANY plastic film to those locations! Recycled plastic bags are used to create a lot of lumber alternatives for decks and also go back into creating bags of recycled content. Be sure to look for plastic film recycling locations in your area. If you don't have one, there are are a few companies who are creating specialty take-back programs. As we have more information on reliable ones, especially where the shipping doesn't do more harm than good of the recycling, we will put that information here!

Fine Art Packaging:

Since we order all of our fine art prints on demand from a third party, we are not able to control the packaging of those products. The exterior box and firm cardboard inside the box is recyclable wherever you recycle paper but the plastic wrap must be taken care of like all other plastic film as describe above.

**These are general guidelines for recycling your RepYourWater packaging. Please check with your local recycling center(s) for any specific guidelines for your community. Thank you!
