Norman Maktima is from the Pueblos of San Felipe, Laguna, and Hopi. As a youth, he grew up learning his Pueblo people’s reliance on water in all its forms while also developing a passion for fly fishing. He continues the tradition of his ancestors by using cultural motifs and symbols to tell his story through art.
