Norman Maktima is from the Pueblos of San Felipe, Laguna and Hopi. As a youth he grew up learning his Pueblo people’s reliance on water in all its forms as well as developing a passion for fly fishing. He continues the tradition of his ancestors by taking cultural motifs and symbols to tell his story through art.
