Despite the wool this is flimsy, not active wear. Feels like a chap cotton shirt. Nothing like their older poly/rayon/spandex shirts. Quality has left the building.

I spent five days backpacking and fishing alpine lakes in Colorado. I wore this shirt everyday and it kept me comfortable and odor free. I even slept in it for nights three and four. I gave it a good permethrin treatment too and the fabric took it well. The hood is roomy enough for a hat and ithe weave is durable as well. I noticed a few Irish pendants when I took it out of the packaging but nothing a pair of cuticle scissors couldn’t fix. This shirt was everything I’d hoped it would be. I highly recommend. Don’t have enough room to explain it here but the customer service was top notch.

This hoodie is light weight yet adds a little warmth on those cool mornings and evenings. I didn’t even known it was merino. So soft I thought it was just a cotton/poly blend. I’m 6’0” and approx 190 lbs. I went with the XL and I’m perfectly happily with the size. I’m sometimes in between a large and XL, but XL is good in this for a slightly looser fit, which I prefer. Sleeves are a tad bit long but I prefer that over a tad bit short. I definitely recommend this hoodie!

The Merino wool that's blended into the fabric makes its way more comfortable than a full synthetic, although its not quite as lite and airy feeling. It's a fair trade off for the nicer feel against the skin especially on long days.
