Impact Report for North Point Brands

Cheeky Fishing, RepYourWater, RepYourWild and Wingo Outdoors

Our 2024 Impact Report at North Point Brands aims to provide transparency in our sustainability efforts and support of conservation, insight into our team culture, and areas we see for growth as a company.

It is critical to think about impact in a well-rounded way.  As humans and a business, we have an impact on our planet.  To address this we consider sustainability in the development of our products and our daily operations.  We also financially support organizations that are putting in the hard boots on the ground and advocacy work for the places we love.

Finally, we believe in the mental and physical health benefits of being outside and being able to have a life outside of the office.  With this holistic approach in mind, we are happy to share our impact and sustainability report from 2024 for the greater North Point Brands company and each of our individual brands: RepYourWater, RepYourWild, Cheeky and Wingo.

2024 Achievements for North Point Brands are:

  • A total of $649,291 has been donated to conservation over the lifetime of all four brands.

  • 117 volunteer hours as a staff in 2024.  As a company we encourage our team members to support organizations that they care about with their time.  In 2024, the North Point Brands team donated a total of 117 hours to various causes including: Casting for Recovery, Colorado Trout Unlimited, American Fly Fishing Trade Association, Trout Unlimited, Woodwell Climate Research Cente and the Berkshire Food Project

  • Zero Waste Warehouse: 96%, or 7600 pounds, of operational waste is diverted from landfill through curbside recycling, specialty recycling, reuse and donation.

  • 1% for the Planet Certified. We verify our cash and in-kind donations through the rigorous 1% for the Planet guidelines.  The guidelines expect donations totaling.5% cash and .5% in-kind product value of company revenue to be donated to vetted Environmental Partners.  Our total of those two types of donations exceeds 3% of revenue.

  • Donated 1600 pounds of food to shelters in the Western Massachusetts and Asheville, NC.  Every year during the holiday season we donate one pound of food for every order placed to organizations where we can make a difference.

  • Employee benefits:  All team members are paid above living wage, receive paid time off, paid time for volunteering, medical benefits, can receive 401K match, an annual stipend to use for outdoor recreation and deep discounts on company products for personal use.

Achievements by Brand:

Cheeky Fishing:

  • Floating fly line and backing spools changed to naturally biodegradable and recyclable paperboard design which reduces plastic use in production and also makes it easy for the end consumer to recycle the spool.

  • The 13th Annual Cheeky Schoolie Tournament united the East Coast fly fishing community and raised thousands for striper conservation, bringing total donations to over $140,000 as of 2024.  Our conservation partners for the tournament, Keep Fish Wet, Stripers Forever and the American Saltwater Guides Association, each specialize in a different aspect of striper conservation.
